Hi Darren, Has it got A/C? I believe the switch for the A/C to control the cooling fans is in one of the hoses. Although I thought that was ign fed. The cooling fan has a control module which I think is under the bonnet below windscreen. Also look out for chaffed wiring on VWs under the battery and near the module.
