We had one the other day with the same fault. It turned out that the ballast resistor for the radiator cooling fan had broken internaly and shorted to the casing causing the internal stop light to come on.
I think the rad fan resistors are in the rad cowling somewhere. The chap who did the car is at lunch so I cant check with him.
