oK.. Just to add to these latter thoughts.. Have a X20XEV on the go at the mo. Dealers did a scheduled cambelt job just a few month back on this particular N reg.. I can see all s nice and new....except for a 3 piece water pump.
The head comes off tomorrow!!
So..good advice Dave. Im sure, given the oppertunity this chap would have opted to pay the extra few quid for a new pump at the time the belt kit was done - had he had this little escaped explained to him.
