Hi Steve, Might not be your problem, but this is one of the first cars that we had a similar problem with, it would run but very badly, it was due to a poor injector signal, that one turned out to be due to non resistor spark plugs fitted.
We fitted new resistor spark plugs and it ran like a new un. p.s. we got that one in after someone had fitted an ecu, but it didn't cure it.
