This time i think it's fixed!
I got a friend to bring in his 03 Terrano, swapped the air mass meters & started the customers car and accelerated several times, which it did ok.So i ordered another new AMM from the dealers & told them that i wanted it under warranty. They supplied me with a new air mass meter, took all the details of when it was fitted + part no etc & said that they would enter it onto their system and hopefully the claim would go through. Before i fitted the new AMM,i checked to see if the fault was still occuring & it was. When first started the engine would rev up ok but a little lumpy because it was cold, after each acceleration the rpm would rise slower until after approximately 3-4 times it would then go into limp mode logging code 95 & not accelerate over 1000rpm until the engine was stopped & then started again & then the same thing would happen.Originally i couldn't get the fault to occur. After fitting the new mass meter i thought that it would be a good idea to refit the old one again in order to measure the waveform when the fault occured, but upon refitting the fault wouldn't reoccur, maybe because the engine was warmer or disturbing the mass meter had rectified it.I had peviously removed the air mass meter & cleaned it with no difference.
I have now refitted the new mass meter which produced the same waveform as the previously fitted one & am going to return the faulty one for the warranty claim.
Sorry for the long, complicated post, but hopefully it might help someone if they understand what i am going on about.
    Regards,
    Andrew
