    Hi Paul

I have to be honest and say i dont know a great deal about the inner workings of this type of injector, hopefully someone can give a more in depth description.

As for the amout of fuel coming out of the return, the information i was given basically said that at crank speed there should be no fuel coming out of the injector return. The faulty injectors i checked only had a small amount of fuel leaking under virtually no pressure and the good injectors had no fuel leaking at all.

As for safety concerns i wouldnt like to say whether it was safe or not as i do not have a lot of experience on Common Rail systems. I carried out the checks as per dealer instruction who said it was safe, but i did stand well back when engine was being cranked.

    hth Tommy
