I found the items on this subject in the archives and note that the suggested replacement time is about 3 hours.
Autodata gives about 3.6 hours for master cylinder and the same for the slave. Is that a total of over 7 hours to replace both ?
If not, then why does the dealer quote TEN hours for the job ? The dealer was unusually chatty and described these superb examples of automotive engineering as piles of c**p - a conclusion I had already arrived at! They also stated that the clutch hydraulics have been redesigned about 3 times and they're still not right.
I'm just interested because a colleague of mine has been lumbered with the job.
