Mitsubishi 3000GT 1992 3.0L turbo - Non runner, no spark, no injector pulse Archived Message

    Hi Chaps
Vehicle came in as non runner from another garage apparently its not ran for 2 and a half months.
    No spark no injector pulse.
This model is a little unusual as it is an import and has the CAM/CRANK sensor on the rear of the camshaft and (NOT behind the belt cover) this is a photocell type sensor and was only used for 2 years.
The problem i have is i need some pin data for this model.
I have worked out that Pin 1 is crankshaft signal
Pin 2 is Cam signal, Pin 3 is supply batt voltage ign on , and pin 4 is ground. I did recieve a little info from America, stating that Pin 1 crank signal should have 5V ignition on and a square wave when cranking.Pin 1 and 2 both go to ECM. The problem i have here is that i do not know if Pin 1 should have a 5v feed from ECM to sensor and then the sensor grounds the signal or if the 5v is an output from sensor to ECM. I have no output from pins 1 and 2, pins 3 and 4 are OK.

    Regards
    Dave
