Hello Kev Ive never done a caddy but ive done a few polo's and seats which require you to remove the steering lock assy from the column, to allow removal of the screw holding the electrical part. Once top of column is stripped down the alloy housing usually drifts off quite easily without removing column from car unfortunately dont know if yours is similar hth Jez
