BMW E30 320 1989 - Non start, possible fuel pump problem Archived Message

Posted by Andy Crook on January 8, 2004, 5:44 pm

This vehicle came to us via the RAC then an auto sparks.

Owner presented it with a fuel pump problem after a non start, RAC told him it was the pump the sparky tested the pump and told him it was the feed to the pump.

We test the fuel supply on cranking and hey presto there is fuel.

There is a spark but no injection.
    Compression is ok.
I do not have the gear to test for fault codes.
Help I thought we had taken on a relay fault.
