Honda Civic Type R 2.0 2002 - Charging fault, fault code 20-2 - Fixed #Archived Message

Hi all,
this car has a charging system fault when you rev the vehicle hard or drive it hard the battery light flickers scanned vehicle and fault code 20-2 eld voltage too high, now first off tested charge rate which is a constant 14.1v then looked in live data and the eld is reading 8.3 - 8.6 amps now the fault code returns without making the light flicker i have no wiring diagram for this system i have took the eld off but it is not much to look at, spoke to Honda who told me you cant buy a eld you have to buy the hole fuse box at £160, don't really fancy buying one as i don't feel i have positively diagnosed the fault has any one ever come across this sort of problem before or have any information on the system for me too move forward with diagnosing the fault. TIA Carl Readings from 3 wires to the back of eld taken with scope, green wire= 3.3volts doesn't move or change with load, black wire=good earth orange wire= battery voltage
