VW Polo BME 2005 - Intermittent window operation # Archived Message

Vehicle came in for intermittent window operation on the near side. Checked for the usual broken wires in the door pillar (both sides) but no obvious signs of damage. The passengers switch operates the window intermittently but the drivers now does not operate the passengers at all. the switch has 3 wires on the N/S the red/yellow wire when working has NBV on it which is changed to approx 6 volt going up and 1.20 volts going down. the drivers side switch also does this which leaves me believing the drivers switch is OK. When the N/S window becomes inoperative this NBV on that wire is lost? the wire appears to be fed by the module on the motor which was why the motor was replaced, to no avail! same problem. The other problem i should mention is that the central locking and mirrors also stop operating intermittently? i understand these components are operated by the same module, could this be a module problem or maybe a relay feed to the module? I'm a bit stumped with this one and am sure someones seen it before and I'm not testing something i should be? lastly does this model have lazy lock (windows go up when key held in lock position) as i thought it did but it doesn't do it?? any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks Luke
