The most obvious fault for this engine would be a blocked oil strainer. I've had to Flush many a gauze on these. Worth a look, what's the condition of the oil like? Does the car get regular servicing? Might be suggesting things you already thought of but was the first thing I thought of so posted anyways. Good luck
