Hi all I know this should be posted on the diesel forum,but I can't open that forum! Not sure whether its my browsers or the site?
Vehicle arrived with fault codes P0251 , P1211 and a rack of other codes, and a box of second hand sensors that he had being trying on the vehicle with no sucsess,wonder why! Customer explained that under certain condition the glow plug lamp would flash and it would go in to limp. After clearing all the codes we gave it a long road test,but were unable to repeat the fault,so we gave it back to customer. Vehicle came back Monday after it faulted again with customer. Code P0251 had returned. We tested injector leak back all ok,removed the pressure regulator from pump for inspection. we felt the performance of the engine was down some what and a little noisy at idle so we recoded the injectors. Now we have a real fault! The car now performs really really well but we the revs get over 2500 RPM it takes of like scalded cat but rattles (picking)and driver like the throttle stuck wide open,if you dip the clutch during this event it will rev off the taco. The code P0251 will return during this event if you let it continue for long enough,if you dare! Any ideas pleases? Regards Nigel.
