Citroen Xsara 2.0 HDi 2004 - Vehicle non start, possibly immobilised # Archived Message

Vehicle came in for timing belt kit to be fitted. After fitting the belt kit i went to start the vehicle and it would crank but not fire. Assuming that i must have timed it wrong so double and treble checked the timing which is spot on. I checked the low pressure to the fuel pump which was fine but there was no high pressure at the injectors. I then observed that on extended cranking all the dash lights went out except the amber key light which stayed illuminated. Red LED on hazard light switch stayed permanently illuminated on cranking but will flash slowly when the doors are locked. Remote central locking doesnt work but the key is producing a signal. I have also tried disconnecting the battery for an hour and reconnecting but no luck.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!!
