    Hi all,

We have a customer that recently had a battery replaced on his MR2 by another garage. All was well until the customer was coming to a stop then decided to turn the ignition off then back on with clutch in. He then 'bump' started the car and as a result since the ignition warning light and handbrake light has been on ever since not extinguishing at all. All lights go off with the ignition off as normal. All other warning indications work ok.

A quick test of the car...charging normally at 14.2V, no short circuit/faulty handbrake switch found. Brake Fluid level sensor ok as is associated wiring.

Has anybody come across this problem before. At the moment it seems like the instrument cluster is at fault but before we go changing it we wondered if the car controllers have got into a bit of a tiz as a result of the 'bump' start.

    Appreciate any pointers....

    Many thanks,
    Andrew
