Well I think it is Had a bit more time this afternoon Used the KTS this time but still no comms I removed the steering column covers and found the aerial / immobiliser unit, I had to bend the metal tabs back carefully to get the small connector out of the unit, still no comms with ECU and also no comms with immobiliser with ECU disconnected I then plugged the immobiliser back in and turned on the ignition and the MIL stayed solid Tried KTS again and got comms with immobiliser (no codes stored) and also got comms with ECU P1612 Immobiliser signal implausible P1613 Immobiliser signal improbable Cleared the codes and it fired up, gave the wiring a good wiggle test, but it kept starting with both keys So I can only assume this was a dodgy connection with an immobiliser multiplug pin / contact Many thanks for all the replied on the forum and also to Mike Whitworth, Mike Walker (ATP) and Darren Cotton for their time on the phone, certainly got an insight into how the system works The cost to the bank of mum & dad = £00.00 Peter
