VW Passat 2003 - Coding of ABS unit #Archived Message

I have this car from another garage with a original fault with the front n/s wheel sensor, the sensor had been replaced but fault still there, I checked the wiring and found that ok so the garage fitted a second hand abs unit. the wheel sensor fault has now gone but now have a code 01044 control module- incorrect code, I have tried to find out more but looks like it has to be recoded to the car. I have DEC but I have never done this before and it looks complicated can anyone help me with this recoding it is a Bosch esp 012 4c which I think is Bosch 5.3
