    Renewed the EGR valve as it was sticking and seemed to work when it likes, which has improved things a little, but the car is still a bit short on power and the EML still flickers occassionally but doesnt stay on. Any ideas from the collective wisdom of the group on those codes would be appreciated.

    Snappy says required fuel pressure at idle =230bar, actual pressure 228.9bar. Seems to track ok when throttle is blipped.

    Bit of further research into the codes reveals the following:

    P0909 - Gate select control error (?)
    P3304 - ?
    B0001 - Frontal stage 1 deployment control (subfault)
    P3002 - Plausibility for rail pressure
    P0001 - Fuel volume regulator (open circuit)

    Seems like the last 2 could be the source of the issues, although not sure what is meant by 'fuel volume regulator' as both the pump and regulator are mechanical on this engine, unless it's refering to a fuel injector (which would go some way to explain the noise and air in the return line?). Bit reluctant to 'fiddle' with the injectors though as i've heard horror-stories about the 1.5DCi injectors suddenly dying when touched!
