    Mazda 3 2003 - Self adjusting headlights - Fixed # Archived Message

We are checking this Mazda out for a few problems and one of them is that the self Leveling Headlights are set too low, I have reset then using IDS to Standard rather than low setting but it doesnt seem to make any difference to the Height of the Beams.

( resetting is done in GEMS Module. )

When you turn the headlights on and start the engine, the Headlights come on , Go up then down to the bottom and raise slightly and stop there, If I sit in the car and lower it or jack one side up, the headlights do not re-level themselves, Should they or does the car need to be driving before the adjustment works. ?

The Only fault codes is for Light Sensor short to ground, I dont suppose this could be the cause of the problem. ?

Network tests pass the test OK.

    Any Common problems. ?

    Thanks Tony.
Where is the Level sensor situated. ?
