I have a customer who is complaining that the car wont go into first gear until you select third or fourth. I have never replicated the fault. He says it only happens when stuck in traffic for extended periods. He also says second can be difficult also. Once he gets it into first he can go into neutral and back to first no problem. Sounds like a synchro problem but the mileage is low @70,000 KM.I remember on the old E36 325i we used to change the gear oil to ATF which helped but I have no experience with the E60. I would appreciate any comments or advice. Thanks
