    Range Rover L322 V8 2004 - Ignition switch fault # Archived Message

Customer is complaining of an intermittent fault with the ignition switch. Occasionally, he will insert the key but be unable to turn it. He thought it was an immobiliser problem, but after carrying out a diag test, I think its more likely to be something to do with the steering lock?

    Codes are -
17 - Magnet Driver - short to ground
    23 - Locking operation error
    27 - Securing magnet fault
    7 - Checksum error

Has anyone had any problems with these before? As usual, its all working fine at the moment, but he's worried that it'll fail completely, leaving he stranded.
