Checked the rear wiper which the customer confirmed had failed at about the same time. Unplugged motor feed and bingo! gearbox found to be full of water, motor tested ok so cleaned and greased gearbox and tried again, same problem so it'll be a new motor assembly then. Have these designers never heard of circuit segregation? Can't believe it was fed off the same circuit as the alternator warning lamp. Shaun.
