rough and ready check on jumped timing chain on the right hand side of engine take out the 2 camshaft end plugs you will recognise them they are pear shaped held by 10mm bolt
turn engine until the slots in cams are horizontal if the slots are not horizontal at same time timing chain jumped worked every time for us HTH
