The water trapping problem is down to the stupid rubber inserts that they put in the drain holes (It is the same problem with the Rover 75) They have a nice big drain hole and then put in a rubber plug incorperating a sort of "Valve" that can be completely clogged by anything more substantial than a human hair! (I have also seen this on Mercs, seems to be a German thing generally) I normally just poke the "Plugs" out so the water drains freely. I am sure there are more elegant ways of improving the water flow but the plugs are often really hard to get at other than with a long thin screwdriver! I would love to have an explanation from the relevant design engineers as to why they did it that way! (As I would with many other bizarre "features" that I come across from time to time!)
