    Audi A6 2.0 TDi 2005 - Judder when driven at 70mph # Archived Message

    Hi All.

This one's been referred to me following an accident.

When the vehicle is driven at around 70mph on the motorway it's fine for about 10 minutes then it starts to shudder pretty badly. It's most noticable on the gearstick which looks as though it's about to shake itself off! You can drive through it and if you drop back to 60/65 it's ok again.

Wheel balancing is perfect, driveshafts seem to be ok, tyres/wheels are new. We've run it up on the ramp with no problems.

I suspect the Duel Mass Flywheel given the fact that it doesn't do it all the time. I noticed a bit of a judder when manouvering in the car park.

Just wondered if anyone else has seen these symptoms on this type of motor. It would give me a bit more confidence in my diagnosis!

The owner is claiming that it wasn't doing it before his accident - I'm not sure I belive him!

    Any thoughts most appreciated Guys.

    Cheers - Paul.
