    Hi ian, its a siecento not a punto, i did expect modis to comm as i've done a couple of punto's with steering faults now.
    This thing has a three pin oldy stylie DLC not a 16 pin connector so im kinda resigned to thinking it will need a dealer level tool to comm with steering.
    Also you asked if the control box was swapped at the same time, there is not a control box on the column! just a motor and torque sensor/angle sensor.
    i've traced the wiring back from the column to "control box" but cant find any test procedures or measurements to test this.
    Dont like guess work so dont really fancy telling customer to get a control box without any testing first.
    I guess it could be down to a faulty second hand column, (very doubtful i know).
