We have an ongoing problem with this vehicle,when the vehicle is started the amber oil warning light comes on with the "check oil" warning on the display,i know that this system is related to the bonnet switch and they are common for failing,we have tried bypassing the switch electrically which worked for a short while,the vehicle has since come back with the light on again, we have also spoken to our local vw dealer who tell us that due to water ingress at the n/s/f footwell electrical connectors can be damaged,they all check out ok,anyone ever had this problem before?
