Misfiring on one cylinder, Injector not firing (I am suspecting shut off by ECU due to blockage-But, I digress)
The main issue is that on attempting to isolate the cause of the misfire I have discovered that the injector/engine wiring is completely rotten. Beyond any realistic prospect of repair!
Now, Is this common? I haven't come across it before!
I have no doubt that a replacement can be had from Mercedes (For more than the owner paid for the car last week!)
Has anybody successfully dealt with this issue?
Are there Merc breakers around who might be able to supply a replacement, and, if so, is the replacement likely to be any good or will it likly be rotten too!
