Dont know if this will help but I had one of these cars in a few months ago with a similar problem only the amps drain fluctuated but never settled down to an acceptable level. Fortunately whilst working on it the amps drain went way high and the washer pump started up! This happened with the key off and the doors locked, the bonnet catch was also closed incase there was a switch on it. As I have said, this did not happen all the time but was becoming more frequent the longer I was working on it. Anyway, I traced the fault to a connector in the n/s/r roof area around the hinge mounting. The wiring on the body side had chaffed through but there had also been water ingress due to a badly fitted grommet. Although the wiring was not showing a dead short I think that because it was wet and so close to the metalwork of the hinge this was allowing some current flow either to earth or between the wires. As soon as I moved the wiring everything back to normal. Dried it all out, fitted the gromet properly and sealed it with silicon, re-checked drain, all ok. I must add that the permanent live is there I think to park the rear wiper when the ignition is switched off. Also I removed the headliner as this made life easier than pulling down one corner. HTH Colin.
