We have been using the Midtronics Inspect 65 for the last 5 years for testing batteries as it always seemed to be very hit and miss in the past. The Midtronics is not a cheap piece of kit but in those five years we have not touched the old battery blowerupper, and it has produced accurate results to this day; even giving fairly accurate results with a flat battery.

You have to input Ah, temp, type of battery e.g lead acid, what testing method e.g. DIN, SAE, EN etc. before testing. You can carry out the Full Monty checking starter draw, Charing current without loads & with at idle and revs and test diode ripple the whole lot prints off on a little thermal infrared printer you can present to the customer in plain English with a few graphics. We charge £10.00 for a print off and the whole start to finish takes about 3 minutes.

It is one of the most used tools in the workshops and after a little experience will reveal more than just battery problems. Comes highly recommended and thats from the worlds biggest skeptic on battery testers 5 years ago.
