    I know this may not help with your current problem but I have scanned earlier S type Jags with my Modis by going in as a Ford. Usually a 2004 Mondeo 3.0 V6 will give you most of the common modules i.e. engine and transmission, climate, central locking etc so may be worth a try searching for the electric handbrake this way. If a late Mondeo doesn't bring it up then maybe a Focus C Max and the most recent year your scanner covers. I only see a couple of 2001/2002 models of S type so haven't had any experience of that particular electric handbrake system. Hope you get it sorted.
