about 11 months ago we replaced the nearside front wheel bearing on the above vehicle, no problems, just bolts on-3months later vehicle back with same fault. Another bearing replaced special care taken ensuring hub nut washer fitted correct way round and all torque settings used, road tested all ok. 4 months later fault on bearing again - strip out bearing unit, looks like its the inner bearing thats failing (heat ring around the outer casing)visual inspection of hub carrier and drive shaft all looks to be in good order-had used none genuine replacements, so this time bought mitsubishi unit, fitted again following instructions in box,so today customer turns up with noisy wheel bearing?, after talking with him the time between failures does not seem relivant but in all ocassions car travels about 2000 miles. so has anyone any ideas? cars not been in an accident and drives without any other fault signs
