Hi Kev. This sounds like a reluctor ring fault. Either from splitting or bieng out of shape. Corrosion between the ring and the cv joint expands and makes the ring mis-shapen. You will still get your signal but over a longer timebase you would see a fluctuation. (All this assumes it has reluctor rings instead of the magnetic wheel type built into the bearings.) Why this should happen after harsh braking I can't explain. There may be another fault of course! HTH - Paul.
