Hi,
I've been trying to source a replacement 2 button RF remote key fob for my 1999 Fiesta at a reasonable price - Ford want £48+VAT for one.
This is not the very early rectangular infra-red remotes but like the more common 3 button RF remotes that slide into the horseshore shaped key. It just doesn't have the third button for the remote tailgate release.
Can anyone suggest a supplier other than Ford, Hickleys, NW Keys, that might have one at a reasonable price?
Also, can anyone confirm if a newer three button remote would work as these are far more common? I will be swapping over the immobiliser chip so that shouldn't be an issue, its just whether the remote uses the same coding/protocol.
