97 / 08 model mazda 626 suffered silmilar fault which was repaired with new ecu and wiring loom water entered throuh harness causing corroision of terminals of ecu, what make of ecu do u have as there were 2 types fitted, only 1 system suffered from this fault but was also fitted to your type of 323
