If the car has central locking and its got the lock all doors button on the centre console. You can input the cars pin number by pressing the button then the car will start. But you have to put pin in every time. I would call a lock smith and have a chat and see if they can do anything. I called out a firm called Auto Entry 07956 662452 to a VW transporter that was a non start. He found that the chip was missing from the key. He went into his van and got a chip. Then removed imobiliser unit from under the dash. Unsoldered an Eprom from the circuit board and then connected it to some sort of interface and then extracted the pin using a laptop. Car started first go. I was impressed. He wasnt cheap. Hope they can fix your Renault. Best wishes Peter Cooper
