    At this age there is only 1 remote but there are 2 part numbers depending on what Chip (4c or 4d)at that age it should be 4d

    You can not learn a new remote if you have cycled the ignition with an unprogrammed chip (ie - the one that comes in the new remote.) so you will have to program the immobiliser or swap the chip from the working key. This stops people from probing the ignition on 6 times then programming a fob to turn the alarm off.

    You could also have a faulty GEM module but you don't normally get the 'dong' when that's faulty

    If you dont want to swap the chip, or program the new one, try cycling the ignition 6 times with the old key, then pressing the new remote (remember to press and hold)
