    hi
vehicle towed in with no history as it had just been bought at auction. vehicle starts and then cuts out with dash light "alarm set" flashing.
no central locking from remote key fob but pressing button gives start fuction ie allows starter and engine to momentarily start.
no fault codes in engine or body controller but cannot access vtss module (i believe it resides in body controller but is treated as a module in its own right)
to add to the complication this vehicle has a mays and scholfield alarm module fitted under top dash above glove box (fitted for uk market perhaps.)
drb111 cannot code remote key or change self locking doors to non locking which gives me the thought that the vtss is dead.there used to be an issue with an earth wire on the heater module failing with this model that caused the "alarm set" light flashing and a no start situation but the give away for that was fuel gauge failure and no mileage indicated. both ok on this car
anyone have any ideas or seen this problem before
    regards
