After reading a previous thread about the Pug 2.0hdi engine and the associated problems following cambelt failiure I am wondering - does anyone know if the 2.2hdi plant has the same issues?
Is it possible that the valves could have survived intact - just broken rockers?
We have this one in now but, after quoting for (possibly) 16 valves, engineering, head set, etc, the car's more or less written off. Apparently the value of the car is only about £1300 (trade-in) because of the high CO2 band. The job could potentially reach £1400!
