not sure if this has been covered'had quick look achives.
customer complaining of heater going cold & temp' gauge going up & coolant leak.customer put a rad weld in hoping to cure leak.
On first inspection coolant was low,and not alot of ciculation,we had fitted a new water pump last march,so confident that is ok,so decided to fit a new thermostat, whist that was out we checked water pump impellors,ok.put it back together, topped up a/freeze,road tested, all ok,heater lovely & hot, temp gauge in middle.
my techy gave it another road test a bit later & gave it abit more stick, heater went cold, temp gauge high & coolant in expansion bottle had risen, also quite a lot of pressure in the system.
trying to decide if head needs to come off.
any out there come across this.
    many thanks john.
