This is actually a very nice car, but sadly there is rust on the box section near the forward rear suspension mounting. It looks an easy enough weld but for the fact that it is obscured by the rear suspension assembly.
Can the forward section of the rear suspension be lowererd by undoing the forward mountings. or does the whole lot need to be removed.
I recon I (or whoever gets to do the job) will need a good 8 inches of clearance.
MOT tester gives useual guff about not being worth repairing but, to my mind, it would be a crime to scrap an otherwise excellent car for the sake of a patch the size of a fag packet!
