    Morning, e.c.valve( crankcase emission control valve)The exact location i cant remember to the tee, renaults, like every other manufacturer, move things about, but every engine has some
    form of crankcase ventilation which is normally pipework off the lower end of the block, eventually arriving at the induction,vauxhalls run pipework to rocker cover,then rocker cover to induction with gauze in cover to stop atomised oil passing through, the gauze used block causing crankcase pressure as an easy example.Somewhere from block to induction there
    is either a valve or filter gauze.Follow hose/pipe work from crank to induction,removing and checking for blockages.Other than a fault there it is probably rings.We have just cured a focus ST (VOLVO 2.5 V5 TURBO) with similar fault,valve was part of the oil filter housing.
