We do several of these as a Rover specialist and were using the BGA gasket but had issues with external water leaks after a while. I have now moved onto the FAI gasket which has a coating on it to help it seal better so far no problems, the rep told me there was no need to use a modified rail or new bolts so long as they were within the original tolerances set by Rover ie screwed in and measured. we always have the heads skimmed now with these gaskets To date i have not changed a ladder and very rarely use new bolts and no problems. When i done the original training course at Cowley in 88 on this engine the spec was that the bolts could be used 3 times without worry and then measure them after that. Kelly ps we have 3 in bits at the momenthappy days
