peugeot 206 1.1 03 Lambda fault Archived Message

This vehicle was mot'd last week at another garage. They fitted a front pipe to pass. Customer came to me with eml on and running rough. The fault was that the before 'cat' ox sensor not switching. Once removed found to be soot-ed. tried cleaning but in the end fitted new one and all was well. Tested with solus and found that after 'cat' sensor not switching at all. Looks like the garage that fitted the front pipe broke the locking device on the sensor multi plug and the connection had come apart. Fitted and secured with a cable tie. My question is: with the sensor being disconnected and thus not being able to check that the first sensor or the cat is doing its job what effect does this have on the final gas readings?
