    Hi Guys.

A mate of mine has a Nissan Primera which has a loud rattle when first started in the morning which goes quiet when the oil light extinguishes.

I am pretty certain the cam followers are the culprits but I would like to know if anyone else here has replaced the followers on one of these engines for this problem or resolved it by some other means.

I have checked the oil pressure which is fine hot or cold. The oil light goes out after 3-4 seconds. Occasionally the light goes out, flickers on then goes out again when starting.

The car runs fine apart from this.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.
