As you say the inlet flap,s do break, as do the timing chain guides.
As for a bottom end re-build no parts are available from ford, I have sourced piston,s etc but not end bolt, so old one,s need crack testing etc. etc. OH and Ford and AD don,t give torque setting for the bottom end.
