Does it do it more-so when exiting roundabouts? ie you need to turn right, then left and it makes the noise?
If so, i suspect it's the sound deadening material has been trapped behind the pedal box. To remove the pedal box (bear in mind it's been 7 years since I've done one, so forgive me if I've missed something).

    Remove lower trim panel
Remove off-side heater vent tube (plastic rivet on O/S)
Undo 2x 10mm bolts securing clutch master cylinder - slide away
    Un-clip brake master cylinder rod
Undo 15mm bolt above brake pedal
Undo 4 x13mm nuts securing pedal box

Once the pedal box is removed, there are 4 raised spacers on the bulkhead, if there is any sound deadening material on these it distorts the pedal box, creating a clunk when the bulkhead twists during cornering.
Remove all traces of material from spacers and pedal box. Apply a light smear of grease on spacer/pedal box contact surfaces and re-assemble.
