Every now and again (impossible to reproduce on demand) car will start, run for a few seconds and die.
When this happens the warning lights to the right of the display do not come on (I think, I only saw it once)
If you give the underside of the dash on the right (where the little glove box is and where the fusebox was on older cars) a sharp upward *Thwack* the lights on the right come on and the engine will start and run normally.
Occasionally this happens on the road but the engine does not cut out. The dials just stop responding and the brake warning light (on the right) comes on.
Another *Thwack* cures it, at least for a while
This is very intermittant (Like it can go for months without happening) and cannot be made to perform to order.
Suggestions anybody (I understand that these dash modules can cause problems. Are these symptoms (in particular the effectiveness of *Thwacking* )consistant with the known dash issues)
