Rover 45 2000 Diesel long clutch pedal Archived Message

Hi Guys got this Rover 45 Diesel that the AA has told customer needs a new clutch. Before fitting new clutch we noticed that the pedal is through the roof ( a lot higher than the brake pedal) But not slipping.

Advised customer we do not think it's the clutch at fault. As high clutch pedal problems are very common. Fitted new clutch on customers instructions and pedal still the same. (Thought so)

I know this is a common fault on many rovers and we have done mods at the pedal stop to decrease the travel many times.

Any one know why this happens.

    Keith
